Biography

He was born in Arta.

She has combined architecture with theatre and singing in her life.

She graduated with honors and a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation of the NTUA School of Architecture and the Drama School of the National Theatre, with many awards and distinctions in both her professional activities.

He was selected by Alexis Minotis and represented Greece at the World Congress of Theatre Architecture in Munich in 1978.

He participated in the 20th World Congress of Architects in Beijing in 1999 as a member of the Greek Delegation.

She was a lecturer on Architecture and Environment at the 2nd Greco-Russian Forum in St. Petersburg in 2010.

From 2000 to 2016 he was elected to the Central Delegation of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

He is also involved in singing - especially traditional singing.

He participated in the International Internet Festival INDEPENDENT GLOBAL ART FESTIVAL among 60 artists from all over the world with Byzantine chants and traditional songs.
Important was her meeting with VANGELI PAPATHANASIOU in 1980 with whom she performed the Epirus song GIANNI MOU TO MANTILLI SOU with electronic music.
She also collaborated with PETRO-LOUKA CHALKIA and performed his song SIKO MANA accompanied by him with his clarinet.

As an actress, in her forty-five-year artistic career, she has performed leading roles (including iconic roles in Ancient Tragedy) in 62 theatrical productions, 24 films, 18 television series and
in concerts and recordings in Greece and abroad.

-Awarded at the ALEXANDRIA FESTIVAL in 1980 with the Best Actress Award (shared equally with Chrysa Spilioti) for her first film THE SUN OF DEATH by Dinos Dimopoulos.
-Awarded with the THEATHOPIOS MEANS LIGHT Award for her overall contribution to the Theatre in 2018.
-Awarded twice by Unesco in 2018 for her performance in the performance "SOFIA IN ANGER" by Tania Harokopou and in 2019 for her performance in the performance "GAIA" by Yannis Falconis
-In 2021 she was awarded the PIGASSOS Award by the Bridges international film festival in Ancient Corinth for her overall contribution to Theatre, Cinema and Television.
-She was also awarded by the International Organization Action Art in 2022 for her performance in the performance SOFIA VEMPO IN MIRACLES by Tania Harokopou.
-Received an Honorary Distinction from the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy-USA's "Daughters of the Muses" during Women's History Month and the celebration of World Theatre Day 2023 in Nashville, USA.
-She also received an Honorary Distinction for her performance in Menelaos Kirlidis' film BROWN TO THE MURDERER at the 4th INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CRETE CINEMA FILM FESTIVAL in August 2023.
-In December 2023 the Hellenic Academy of Art Awards awarded her the Special Award for the year 2023 for all her artistic work and her contribution to CULTURE and ART in Greece, especially in Cinema and Theatre.
-Her latest film HUZUN, directed by Fay Lellios, qualified for the 2023 OSCARs.
