The opening took place on Thursday 16/3/2023 with the Kozani Theatre Scene that will present the parody of Sophocles' "Electra" in the Kozani idiom, "ELECTRA Sourda". From Friday 17/3/2023 to Friday 24/3/2023 the competitive part of the Festival with the participation of eight competing companies from all over Greece, which were selected by the Selection Committee from among 19 submissions.
On Saturday 25/3 the closing ceremony the Greek Music Ensemble of the Music School of Karditsa and the leading performer and musician Giorgos Dalaras joined on stage in a special performance. This was preceded by the awarding of prizes to the competing troupes..
The programme of the event will include tributes to the actors Michalis Aerakis and Kostas Arzoglou and the composer Dimitris Papadimitriou.
The former mayor of Karditsa Dimitris Archontis will also be honored for his contribution to the institution and cultural events.
At the same time, the theatrical seminars that have been established in recent years and are addressed to teachers, students and anyone else who is interested.
Members of the Jury and other distinguished guests will teach, each of them analyzing a topic related to their Art.
